Altec Lansing’s InMotion Classic In Action
News — on September 11, 2009 at 3:45 am | 1 CommentAltec Lansing has a history of making some really outstanding speaker systems whose designs revolve around the functionality of the iPod. Their latest portable speaker, the inMotion Classic, carries the company’s flag forward of delivering good quality audio in a small and sleek design.
Standing at just 4 inches in height and measuring 2 inches in thickness, the inMotion Classic can bring the house down with its powerful sound. the Classic features two 3-inch speakers, no equalizer which would have been welcome; an auxiliary input, an iPhone-certified dock; an FM radio with a 2-foot retractable antenna; remote control that includes controls for playback, volume adjustments, station presets, and even some buttons for navigating through iPod menus; an internal rechargeable battery which can live for a good for five hours.
The overall sound quality was crisp and the bass had no issues with jarring. There is an ‘expanded sound stage’ setting included to give recordings an extra boost , but that’s the only added audio function involved here.

The volume can go from 1-40, loud enough to throw you out of bed, provided the speaker is drawing its power from the wall. As previous mentioned, if it is running on its own power, it will last for 5hours.The inMotion Classic will be available to the customers later this month and priced no more than $149.

I really like your reviews & found them really cool & advantageous for choosing right stuff. However, I think more description would have been really profitable in this post. Btw, even though you have appreciated its performance, I would like to ask if you would have purchased it yourself.
