BMW Sets The Sails On The Land Yacht Luxury Concept
News — on September 14, 2009 at 4:15 am | 4 CommentsMuch like the Greenbird and the Iron Duck, both record holders for the land speed record holders for wind powered vehicles, a new designer has also involved himself in the rat-race. But with a difference. What he is attempting to do, is simply break the land speed record while arriving in style and comfort. The Blue Dynamics land yacht, as is has been christened, is the brainchild of industrial designer Stefan Radev. The concept wind-powered pleasure vehicle that steers with the help of a huge sail in the rear and entry into the cockpit is through the elevated wind screen, while the rigid sail adjusts according to wind direction either automatically or through the on-board sail control unit.
The name Blue Dynamics is in context with BMW’s “efficient dynamics,” greener-emissions program, which inspired the designer. BMW, however, are not involved with the project.

Like all rich toys, this one is selfish too, as it does not provide you with a co-passenger. But, hey, when you take to the beaches in this you wouldn’t want to share the attention and if you look like a cock no one would want to have that kind of attention.

I don’t understand. Would there be anybody who would like to ride something that remotely looks like that? It’s kinda funny. What say?
I don’t like the idea of being alone. As much fun it might be, it’s not fun if you can’t enjoy it with your people.
What is the intention of BMW in creating it for single individual? I don’t get that,at all. What’s use if you can’t enjoy the time with your people?
Wow! It’s just so cool! Thanks for that piece of news. I will keep track of that! I think, it’s really exciting.
