Cell Phones — June 26, 2011 at 11:30 pm | Comment Now
In the modern times of Android phones, there arent many options available for the customers looking for some different smartphone option, and the Windows Phone 7 is one of the very few choices available. The HTC Pro 7 from US Cellular, which we are covering here, is the first Windows Phone of the carrier and although it’s a straight Rebranding of HTC Arrive that debuted in the market three months before, we think that it’s a decent inclusion to the carrier's lineup and brings in a nice choice for the customers. The HTC Pro 7 has a strong design with HTC’s typical brushed-metal elements and accents. The phone has a superb keyboard and tilting screen, which is rather fun to use and in addition to that the other highlights for the phone includes the capability of HD video playback and capture, in addition to Microsoft's copy-paste attribute, which is something that was mission from  [...]

Cell Phones — June 17, 2011 at 10:01 pm | Comment Now
We wont be exaggerating when we say that the recently launched HTC Evo 4G was one of the most popular and one of the finest Android smartphones to have entered the market in the model year 2010. It’s been hardly a year since the launch of the Evo 4G, and here we are looking at its heir, the HTC Evo 3D. Launched firstly at the CTIA 2011, the HTC Evo 3D will be offered with a two year contract and for a price of $199.99 and will be available from Sprint starting from 24th of June 2011. The HTC Evo 3D is a gingerbread handset and it raises the bar with its dual-core processor, a glasses-free 3D display, a larger battery and a glass-free 3D video and image capture. Introducing 3D to the phone increases the risk of making the phone a gimmicky ploy, but that wasn’t the case here, and after spending some time with the phone we found out that the 3D usage in the phone is the  [...]

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – An Eye-Catching Super Thin Model

Cell Phones — June 15, 2011 at 12:05 am | Comment Now
The one thing that we can say undeniably is that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is an immensely eye-catching and super thin model, and is all set for a runway model career. The stylish phone measures a meager 0.46 inches thick at the center concave arc of the phone which runs upright down to the rear end of the phone and also is the thinnest point of the phone. The overall build of the phone makes the iPhone 3GS look almost fat in contrast. In the modern time slimness is an asset in modern phones, and the simple reason for that being the fact that the slimness of the phone reduces the Visible Phone Line in the pocket. But even the very high-end phones generally have a tad bit of heft, and in that respect Xperia Arc feels a lot thinner. Weighing 4.13 ounces, the Xperia Arc can feel flimsy as well, and the removable plastic cover of the phone could easily be attributed for the incredible  [...]

If you are a gaming fanatic, then you will be jumping with joy after hearing that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has entered the market, and if you are a parent of a gaming fanatic kid then you better lock your gamers. And though the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a tad on the chubby side, we think that for Xperia Play, bigger is better and beautiful. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play could be seen as a shorter, fatter sibling of the svelte Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, which Sony introduced to the world as “world’s thinnest smartphone.” Measuring .62 in, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play looks rather bulky in comparison to its other Xperia-line family. But considering the fact that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play conceals a PlayStation  [...]

Micromax Andro A60 – Resistive touchscreen Android phone

Cell Phones — May 22, 2011 at 12:05 am | Comment Now
A lot of Indian and Chinese mobile phone makers were looking for a fresh design to their interface and they have found shelter under Google’s roof. They are now using Android software which is an open source OS and can be used by anyone. One thing I liked here was that this handset has a 3.5 mm headphones jack which is skipped by a lot of Indo-Chinese phones like these. The price of this phone is Rs. 6,990. Design Micromax Andro A60 has a really unique shape and I loved the design. The body tapers in width as you go from top to the bottom. The look is unique and apart from that, it feels really comfortable in the hand too. It is easy to pocket the phone due to the dimensions and it won’t weigh down much in your pocket. I was only disappointed about the build quality, it is a bit cheap and the manufacturer could have used better  [...]

Nokia X3 02 – Similar To X2

Cell Phones — May 16, 2011 at 12:05 am | Comment Now
Nokia X3 02 is a smartphone that is quite similar to the Nokia X2 which was launched some time ago. The design of this phone is typical of Nokia and the manufacturer hasn’t really done anything out of the box here to make it look unique. I was still impressed by the great grip and the dazzling body. There is a large 2.4 inch TFT LCD touch screen display and the keypad is a bit different as compared to other phones from this manufacturer. It is really comfortable to type on this phone and the bottom keys like “*”, “#” and “O” which are mostly located on the bottom are now moved to the side. This cell phone is about 9.6 mm thick and it is really comfortable to hold in the hand and carry in the pocket. This is a 3G phone and hence you will get some pretty amazing speeds for download and uploading files. You can also stream good quality videos for viewing on the phone. Apart from  [...]
