Nintendo and Apple lock horns for gaming supremacy
Games, News — March 1, 2011 at 10:08 pm | Comment NowIt looks like Apple is trying really hard to make a good impression at Game Developers Conference. People who are visiting Moscone Center this week will certainly now miss the big Apple logo put on the sides of Yerba Buena Center for Arts which is right across the street. Apple will be taking stage on Wednesday morning and the company is also expected to announce the new iPad 2.
The only thing is that the presentation of Apple is not a part of Game Developers Conference which is the annual gamemakers’ gathering. Also, it is going to take place at the same time as the Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s President, makes GDC keynote wherein he is going to lay out the vision for the future of his company.
Nintendo will be launching a 3-D gaming machine without the glasses. It is called Nintendo [...]
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm played on PS3 – review
Games — November 21, 2010 at 12:05 am | Comment NowNaruto Ultimate Ninja Storm game is based on the famous Naruto anime series and it is a game with conflicting ideas which leverages on just one strength – the graphics. The character animations are gorgeous, the cut-scenes are carefully constructed and the perfect choreography makes this game a lot of style.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm wants to deliver high on adventure quality and it also seeks to provide entertainment with the serious fights. None of these are exceptional but the fighting portions are promising. There are 25 characters and the combat scenes are set in third person. This along with the special exaggerated attacks and supporting characters which help you with the fight emphasize the spatial planning and meter management of the game. The combo attacks are impressive and long but surprisingly, the system doesn’t have much complexity. [...]

Talking Tom Cat Nokia N900 is an app which will keep you entertained for a long time while you are waiting for a friend at the local airport. The app is very easy to use. All you have to do is talk on the mic of the phone and the Tom Cat will cup his ears to show that he is listening. Gaming without the D-pad remotes
Games — August 4, 2010 at 12:56 am | Comment NowWhen it comes to gaming, the traditional D-pad comes to your mind. I admit that this remote has entertained us for years but now we have grown tired of this. You might have had a few frustrating moments when you wanted more buttons on the remote but only had a few. Games are getting bigger these days and the limited number of buttons that a traditional remote has to offer is seriously blocking this growth. How about having something out of the box, like the system responding to your body movements? Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft – the three big wigs in the gaming world have come up with their own dough and all three have been really impressive. They have taken the concept of gaming to a whole new level and I bet you won’t miss the traditional D-Pad remotes now. These manufacturer’s aim to get their pocket jingling with such virtual technology.
Microsoft’s Project Natal aka Kinect [...]

Review Of The Smash Cars PlayStation 3
Games — September 4, 2009 at 10:45 am | Comment NowAhaa...I would have loved to have most of the flashy cars which are on display in the game. The game didn’t disappoint much atleast as far as the racing part goes. It looks like a boulevard of cars which everyone at some point of time would have wanted to own.
Basically this game is all about racing through animated and lively environments and performing several acrobatic stunts on the run which help you reach towards victory. The action involves a lot of fun and drama and obviously speeds high enough to send an adrenaline rush through the players veins but yeah it does have some limits. It just has around 12-single player events. Completing these events hardly takes any time, but if your striving for the gold medals then it’s surely going to be a long task uphill.
Unfortunately it is unpleasantly difficult to race through the speed limits because of a few obstructions which just [...]
Review Of The Cursed Mountain Wii
Games — September 2, 2009 at 11:00 pm | 5 CommentsWhat excited me about this game is the set up in the Himalayan mountains with a freaky story surrounding it. Talking about the setup here I go… its damn cold in the Himalayas.
There are hovering spirits all around you and all you have to do is keep on fighting or atleast defending yourself from them. It’s a slow engaging story setup in the Himalayas which will fill you up with frigid air right upto the bone. It’s a fascinating story about the Buddhist rituals and the sherpas. But if you are looking out for engaging puzzles and hot action this game would definitely disappoint you. I for one, loved the way of story- telling but then again was quite unimpressed with the unresponsive controls.
As a player, you play the role of Eric Simmons who is a popular mountain climber, searching for his lost brother who has gone missing while scaling the mount Chomolonzo. The missing tale of [...]
