Apple releases software update for squashing location data bugs

Apple released a software updated on Wednesday morning for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone devices that would fix a location storage method which raised concerns about privacy last month. The update is called iOS version 4.3.3 and it reduces the file size which stores geodata on the iOS devices. This means that it won’t contain location data history which goes back to one year ago. Apart from that, when you install the update, iTunes will not backup iOS device location database file and this means that geodata won’t be stored on the computer. Finally, when customers disable setting of Location Setting on their iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad, it will delete all information that is stored in location file, says Apple. It also has new dashboard for easier access to the files and applications and Workspaces which make managing multiple windows easier. Firefox 4 is now out of its beta period and is in the stage of ‘release candidate’. Last beta version called Firefox 4 Beta 10 was released six weeks ago.
