iPods are ubiquitous these days and they come in all sizes. The iPod classic which has 180 GB of hard disk space lets you carry your music library along with you. And then there is iTunes which is a must if you want to put media in to your iPod. iTunes lets you ‘sync’ your songs, videos, TV shows from your computer to the player.

But what if you delete the media from your PC once you have copied it to your iPod? You might sometimes delete the music that you have copied onto the iPod to free up some disc space. Then the player is the only source and if you want the songs back on the computer, there is no way you can do it. This is where CopyTrans comes to the rescue.

CopyTrans

CopyTrans formerly known as CopyPod is a recovery and backup tool for your videos and songs on the player. You can use the application to create a back up of all the songs and videos that you have on your iPod. The soft ware stores songs, videos, playlists, ratings, podcasts, artworks, playcount and other such information on to your PC by creating a back up from iPod, iPhone or iPod Touch.

CopyTrans is intuitive and easy to use. You have to connect the iPod to the computer; CopyTrans will automatically get you a list of all the tracks, videos, movies on the player. You can then select the ones that you want to restore, transfer or copy on to your computer. You can select the items one by one, or by album, playlist or artist.
