Thumbs up:Astoundingly stylish, equipped with high end features for gamers, the cherry on the cake being the gigabit ethernet connectivity, home theatre with 7.1 surround speakers, eight USB ports, 15-in-1 card reader, stalwart chassis design.
Thumbs down:Exorbitant price as compared to its other competitors, bulky, power hog, no monitor pairing, blu ray and fan door are thwarting noisy.

The whiz kid speaks:
Razzle-dazzle:A look at the Dell XPS 435 and I was almost like “wow, now that’s what I call elegance and style packed together’. The first impression of the dell is surely inextirpable. It’s got a retro-modern killer design. A glossy black front panel, the rest of the splendidly designed chassis is covered with white, speckled with few red-hotrod strokes. The cooling vents have also been brilliantly designed and the USB ports have been smartly ducked into the chassis. Ask any lady and probably she’d tell you that black makes you look slimmer, but all the blackness of the dell chassis fails to hide the obvious- it’s bulky.
Inside dope:
To start with it’s got a gadget case on the top of the chassis which isn’t uncommon these days to store your cell phone o probably the iPod when u need to sync it with the desktop. The USB ports facilitate easy cord connections. The side panel also displays an easy sliding motion, once unscrewed. Comparing it with its competitor Assus Essentio CG5290 it surely scores high on the looks, though the Asus has better performance, faster graphics card and more RAM.

Coming to the actual juice of the system: scores of apps on the Windows Vista can’t bog the XPS 435 down. Video-end-coding and 3D rendering also ran pretty smoothly on the XPS 435.coming to the actual gaming part, the Dell XPS came out with amazing results in the gaming tests that we put it through. Crysis and Call of Duty 4 tests also produced passable frame rates (60 + FPS) at 1920 x 1200 resolution. Though the graphics are of astounding quality the main glitch for gamers is that, the dell lacks a second graphics card support. Frankly I loved the integrated DVI to HDMI adapter which almost patched a rig onto our big screen and popped in a blu ray.
Much to my surprise the chassis which I assumed to be packed with high tech stuff or… candy from dell, turned to have lots of empty spaces for a future upgradation of memory from 4.5 TB of storage, and 24(!) GB of RAM. Its awesome that dell has brilliant plans of upgradaion but then these empty surely make it large and I or anyone for that matter would want a chassis which is portable, not something which would need special transportation services to just shift it to the adjacent room. Well, we even tried using it as a home theatre system but much to my disappointment, apart from the fact that it took hell loads of space in the leaving room the noisy fan and the languid keyboard/mouse just got me to one conclusion.. probably the dell works best just under the desk. The important part, the power supply; this one is a total power hog. At 475 watts it’s enough to juice all of the included components. And plus if your looking for upgradation like the stuff that dell has to offer that is increase the memory…you ll really have to keep a check on the power supply.
Nitty-Gritty:With the stylish outlooks dell surely has come out of the boring black grey terrain, smoking specifications, and personally I feel that it’s unblemished even on the performance scale. It’s bulky and the power supply that it requires is sure to get your bills ringing. Well not mincing words anymore I would say that the Dell is almost baffling. But if your looking for a classy gaming system and don’t really care about the size ,the power supply and probably have the cash to spend, this could be the best pick.

What is it on offer to go out & but it for $ 2100 with problems in size, power & performance as well? I think it sucks
Good deal with features for ports, speakers, graphic cards & design, it’s one helluva piece to have.Awesome!
