Cell Phones — on February 16, 2012 at 12:48 am | Comment NowSamsung SPH-M370 is a basic, comfortable flip phone, which has familiar design, strong call quality and large comfortable buttons.
The quintessential flip handset requires two things: easy to press, large buttons and excellent call quality. Happily, the SPH-M370 for Sprint offers both with straightforward design and features and $19.99 price tag with two-year agreement. The clamshell design of this handset is quite familiar, but the company does add interesting touches. The curved edge design, slight curve on upper portion and nubby gray finish at front and back look like someone pinched the top and pulled it forward.
The Samsung SPH-M370 has comfortable dimensions and grip, which keep it compact and small, perfect for slipping into pant’s pocket or purse. It measures 3.8 inches high, 0.7 inch thick and 2.0 inches wide and weighs 3.7 ounces, making it feel substantial and solid overall design. The 1.0-inch display and camera lens is at the front, while the volume rocker on the left. You will find the 3.5mm headphone jack microUSB charging port and camera shutter button on the right hand side of cellphone. Once you flip open the handset, you will find a 2.4 inch QVGA display that boasts 320 x 240-pixel resolution and looks bright and colorful.
Once you push the physical menu button, the Samsung SPH-M370 is easy to navigate around. It is fairly customizable with options for picking wallpaper and clocks for both displays, control backlights and brightness and set contrast. Underneath the display, the dial pad and navigation array feature tactile, rubbery, large keys, which are responsive and comfortable to touch. There are separated and backlit and will find bumpers to orient your fingers on keyboard. The navigation array offers two typical soft keys along with Back, End/Power and Talk buttons surrounding central navigation toggle.

On Samsung SPH-M370, you will find space for 600 contacts in its address book and all contacts can have several phone numbers, mailing address, email addresses, notes, IM handle, URL and birthday. It also allows you to add photo ID, customize a ringtone and form caller group. Also onboard are 10 preloaded ringtones. Basic features include alarm, voice memo, calendar, memo pad, calculator and world clock. The SPH-M370 also offers multimedia and text messaging and Bluetooth support. There are some extras, which can be downloaded from various stores of Sprint: games, screensavers, ringtones and other apps for things such as instant messaging and weather. Its Qualcomm QSC6055 192MHz processor works fine. The rated battery life of Samsung is 10 days in standby mode and 5.4 hours in talktime mode.
