Seagate Upgrades I New Docking Station To Include Freeagent

Hard drive manufacturing giant, Seagate recently launched the latest docking station that allows user to with Free agent portable hard drives to access their data  with out any hassles. Seagate explained that the network adapter of the Free Agent has been upgraded in such a way that it brings a whole new dimension to file- sharing and remote access. They further went on to elaborate that the network adaptor is very easy to install and the web- based interface is purely based on its own instincts. It will refine the way people access their data and content by making  their own storage ‘clouds’, while maintaining the privacy and security of their hard drives, since it located in their own  work space. They will also be able to access social networking sites like facebook, twitter, orkut to link images and video clips. Another representative of the company also stated that the Dockstar creates a shred experience while still maintaining the privacy of the drive.

The drive can be accessed either through an internet based computer and also the phone application. The Dockstar features three USB ports and will cost around $100. The Dockstar is shipped along with a one year Pogo-plug subscription for non-intranet access and sharing rights but if you need to renew, the subscription a $30 annual fee is required. Seagate has launched three capacity points for its FreeAgent Go hard drive line: 1TB, 880GB and 750GB.
