Steve On The Job With iTunes 9
News — on September 10, 2009 at 9:33 pm | 1 CommentSteve Jobs the C.E.O of Apple has dropped a bomb of goodies that includes the iTunes 9, an upgraded iPod Nano, and the OS 3.1. In a statement by Jobs, the latest version of iTunes features an all improved User Interface, along with an automated DJ known as “Genius Mixes” which plays tracks from the user’s music library.
He also revealed that the iTunes 9 would now support updates from Facebook and Twitter, while allowing users to copy movies , songs, videos and TV shows right up to 5 authorized computers. The redesigned iTunes will also feature classic LP memorabilia, including music, essays, liner notes and photography.
Next, Phillip Schiller went on the podium and lauded the iPod Touch’s fame and recognition . According to Schiller, 20 million iPod touch units have been sold by Club Cupertino itself. He said that the DS and PSP could barely match the iPod Touch, because it is a device which is a great iPod and an amazing portable computer, as well as on outstanding gaming device.
To make his point, Schiller displayed a wide range of iPod Touch games, including Madden ’10, Riddim, Ribbon and Nova (FPS). Apple was proud to support OpenGL ES 2.0 for next-generation games, said Schiller.
Schiller also revealed new price tags for the iPod and iPod Touch: the 8GB iPod Touch will now sell for $200, the 32GB will retail at $300 and the 64GB for $400. The iPod classic has also been upgraded to 160GB, and the best part is the price remains the same at $250. The 8GB Nano will be come in $149 and the 16GB will go for $179.

Even, the iPod Shuffle has undergone a major make over with a whole new line of colors and a brand new price tag of $59 for 2GB models.
Later, Steve Jobs returned to say that the next generation of iPod Nanos will be equipped with speakers, a camera, FM radio, microphone, voice recorder applications and a pedometer.
