The screen is molded out of plastic, making it the only iPod that hasn't used the scratch-resistant glass screen yet. It also is the only one to use the split screen menu, with the menu function on the left and an image matching to the selection to the right.
Like the previous ipods, the Classic also features the Genius playlist where it creates an instant 25-song playlists based on the musical characteristics of a single song.
