Brother DCP 165C- slow print speeds, bad quality, awful printer

This is the worst printer we have ever had in our test centers, apart from the cheap price tag (it costs $80) we didn’t like anything about this device. We had lots of hardware malfunctions while testing the printer, the print speed was very slow and we don’t know what the manufacturer was thinking when it brought this awful printer to the market. The print quality too is extremely bad. We would recommend you against buying this printer and go for Canon Pixma MX330 which is belongs to the same price range and is a better performer by miles. There is an auto document feeder which holds up to 20 sheets and it also acts as a cover for the control panel. We were disappointed to find out that the printer doesn’t have a USB port for external devices and a card reader. There is a single tray which controls  [...]

Brother is a big name in the multi function devices (MFD) industry. This time they are out with a touch screen printer. The touch screen LCDs let you access functions by just tapping your finger on the screen but it does get the price up. We don’t know if LCD is needed on a printer and we think it is more of a gimmick than a use full feature. But manufacturers have started to make touch screen printers whether you think they are use full or not and other printer makers are too joining since they don’t want to be branded as obsolete. The LCD of the printer is very user friendly and also intuitive it is used to navigate the settings and controls on the device. The home screen shows you the progress of the job it is currently engaged in, current date/time, graphical picture of the remaining ink in the cartridges and speed dial access and calls history. You can tilt the screen up and down  [...]
