Cell Phones — November 14, 2009 at 1:05 am | Comment NowAn eco-friendly phone? Now, isn’t that a bit too much? No, according to Samsung who say they have made the phone out of recycled materials, especially plastic water bottles (and hence the name Blue Earth)
The first thing to write about this phone would be the solar panels. The solar panels charge the phone constantly. Apart from the sun, the phone can also charge it self under a strong source of light like a desk lamp. However, you cannot rely completely on the solar charging because if the phone battery is finished then you’ll be unable to charge the phone by solar energy. The phone comes bundled with a standard charger.
Talking of being eco-friendly, Samsung claims that the phone is also free from harmful materials that damage the mother earth.
But Samsung’s obsession of being eco-friendly doesn’t end here. The cardboard box of the Samsung is made from recycled card board.

Each contact can hold upto 6 phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, notes, a formal name and a nick name. The basic features that this one has to offer are calculator, currency converter, alarm clock, wordlock, stopwatch and a notepad. It also supports a lot of advanced features like stereo Bluetooth, a voice recorder,, instant messaging, USB transfer and mass storage, voice commands, PC syncing and Web-based e-mail. Though it as an internal memory of 30MB it can be extended upto 2GB using a microSD slot.
