Samsung Blue Earth Cell Phone Review
Cell Phones — November 14, 2009 at 1:05 am | Comment NowAn eco-friendly phone? Now, isn’t that a bit too much? No, according to Samsung who say they have made the phone out of recycled materials, especially plastic water bottles (and hence the name Blue Earth)
The first thing to write about this phone would be the solar panels. The solar panels charge the phone constantly. Apart from the sun, the phone can also charge it self under a strong source of light like a desk lamp. However, you cannot rely completely on the solar charging because if the phone battery is finished then you’ll be unable to charge the phone by solar energy. The phone comes bundled with a standard charger.
Talking of being eco-friendly, Samsung claims that the phone is also free from harmful materials that damage the mother earth.
But Samsung’s obsession of being eco-friendly doesn’t end here. The cardboard box of the Samsung is made from recycled card board.

Review of Samsung Instinct HD SPH-M850 Cell Phone
Cell Phones — October 12, 2009 at 4:10 am | 1 CommentThe Instinct HD comes with a smaller contact phone book. It has all the essential elements of a phone book, the calendar and world clock being easier to handle. This phone comes with a lot of smartphone features like Bluetooth Functionality, Sprint Navigation, gesture manipulation of controls and Wi Fi.
Working with Internet is quite interesting on Instinct HD. It comes with a lot of email options. It allows you to sync with a number of POP3 accounts. Oprah 9.7 gives a rich browsing experience; but redundant features make it cluttered. Opening multiple windows simultaneously is good, but toggling between pages is inconvenient. No browser panning is found as in the original.
The HD 5 mega pixel camera is truly remarkable. Apart from normal functionalities high definition video recording is also possible with this. The picture is sharp and bright. Not comparable to a HD camcorder, which [...]

Samsung : Move Aside Point-To-Shoot Cameras
News — September 30, 2009 at 1:05 am | 1 CommentLooks like Samsung just cant get enough of the 12Mp cameraphone (who can??). Anyways, following the launch of the Pixon12, Samsung has announced the launch of the SCH-W880, the newest 12 MP cameraphone to hit the shelf. It’s got an optical zoom of about 3X and is being made ready for an early October release in Korea.
It also comes loaded with an AMOLED full touch screen, 2x digital zoom , Dual-Xenon flash ,Touch/auto focus , Image stabilization and Face detection. It also enables fast image saving so that the users can immediately move on to the next shot within a short span of 2 secs. It also offers high quality video recording at 1280 x 720 pixels with 30 frames per sec. To match upto the heavily loaded camera we even have a 1100mAh battery which makes in all probability could make this one a bit clunky.

Review Of The Samsung SyncMaster XL2370
Television — September 19, 2009 at 11:50 am | Comment NowThe Samsung Sync master XL-2370 has a good resolution of 1920x1080 and a contrast ratio of 50000: 1. during scenes like the ending credits the blacks were dark and when there other scenes, it was appropriately bright. There was in fade in time, the total response time for adjustments for scene changes was 5 ms, which is pretty decent. The Dynamic contrast works best while watching movies. The colours were also vivid and natural looking. Overall image-quality was well- defined and sharp. This brilliant performance that the XL-2370 put up is because of the backlit LED’s in the monitor. This monitor depends on individual led’s to give the display more accurate control as well as to control the amount of light that goes through.
The best viewing angle is to directly plop yourself right in front of it. The XL2370 uses a TN panel to enhance the viewing [...]
Review Of The Samsung TL320 Camera
Digicam — September 15, 2009 at 6:40 pm | 4 CommentsThe TL320 features a plethora of options for adjustability, there are 13 different screen shots to choose from, and the smart auto mode selects the perfect screen shot from eleven of the scene modes. The auto mode locks most of the functions if you do not want to fiddle of the adjustments and provides the best shot possible. some hidden extras in the camera include the fine-tuner for white balance and colour temperature, self-portrait face detection, backlight compensation, exposure bracketing, and a motion-sensitive shutter-release timer. The performance of the TL320 was standard, nothing exceptional, from a cold –start the camera took 1.9 seconds, but 2.4seconds between shots. It also took 0.5 seconds in normal conditions and 0.8 seconds to auto focus. The images obtained were soft and a small amount of noise too. Like at all cameras in its range, the TL320 reached it potential at ISO200. the overall colours were rich and the white balance were good.
Video quality was good too, plus you get the options of image stabilization and zoom while recording. On e more goodie in Samsungs bag was the Custom RGB option.
Nitty- gritty: This camera packs a lot of features but there is a bit of a problem, the price. The TL320 costs around $300, which is steep, given the fact it has an average performance and the picture qualities a re so-so too. If Samsung worked on it a little longer, or reduces the price tag, then there should be no reason why you shouldn’t get one.
Review Of The Samsung Q320 Laptop
Laptops — September 9, 2009 at 2:46 am | Comment NowWell, I found the speaker quality the most unimpressive among all the other stuff it has been packed with. The sound was barely audible, tinny and even high pitched at times. Also the video quality was not that great not only during video streaming but also while playing the video through video streaming. The images from the 1.3 megapixel webcam were not impressive enough as well. The images displayed a lot of flicker along with some noise at the edges. Surely this one isn’t your best option if you’re looking forward for some great entertainment.
Coming back to what we talked about earlier, the temperature, according to our lab tests this exhibited a temperature of 94 degrees Fahrenheit between the G and H keys, and around 97 degrees on the left wrist rest whereas nothing more than 95 degrees is actually acceptable so I hope Samsung looks into this matter and does something about it.

Review Of The Samsung SGH-T239 Cell Phone
Cell Phones — September 4, 2009 at 10:15 pm | 3 CommentsThe phone book capacity of the T239 is relatively small with just 300 contacts entry. Contacts can be paired up with a photo and a ringer id.
It comes equipped with a VGA camera and which can take pictures in almost four resolutions. Considering that it’s a VGA camera the image quality is quite average. Anyways I didn’t expect any kind of sharp images. The images display some amount of noise which is pretty much expected. It offers you with about 10 MB of storage for photos which is more or less not that great.
Coming to the call quality, it was pretty much decent with minimal static and interference. It was sort of clear and sounded pretty much natural. The volume of the calls was quite low though because of which I could hardly hear anything in crowded and noisy places. The caller to had more or less the same to say. Speakerphone calls were kind of average and the the performance [...]
