Seagate’s Barracuda Data-Storage Capacity Shoots Up
News — September 21, 2009 at 2:34 am | Comment NowSea-gate has launched a monumental hard disk with a storage capacity of 2TB and a cache memory of 64 Mb. Called the barracuda XT, this monster hard disk is aimed at hard-core gamers and multi-media developers and features a 6GB/sec SATA hard disk. Most 2tb models manage speeds up to 5400- 5900 rpm on an average but the XT does a 7200 rpm because it is built on a 4-disk platform. To make things better, the XT is beefed up with a cache memory of 64 mb and a high- performance 6gb/sec interface.
