Toshiba Satellite A505-S6980 Laptop Review

The display supports HDMI, so you can plug this device on to your panels and enjoy movies on a big screen. The display is 16 inch offers a native resolution 1366X768 which is good enough and gives you plenty of room to work on the screen. The resolutions let you tile 2 word documents along each other and work comfortably with them. Videos look great on this monitor and are well complimented by the good speakers. Toshiba Satellite A505-S6980 comes bundled along with Windows 7 Home Premium. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 is pre-installed. The speakers are Harman Kardon speakers and it sounds great. The laptop doesn’t have a graphic card installed in it, so you can’t play high-end games on this notebook. However, you can play basic games. We weren’t much happy with the keyboard. It was one of the worst part of the notebook. The keys are flat and placed close to each  [...]

Review Of The Toshiba 55SV670U Television

The sliver and black design is carried forward on to the remote. The remote makes good use of the size and placement of the buttons. On the downside, no back-light provision and also people with fairly small palms might have a tough reaching for basic buttons. The LED backlighting added with local dimming is the sole culprit for the SV670U's price hike over the company's step-down models. The SV670U does have a 240Hz refresh rate which translates as, the TV takes each frame from a standard 60Hz source and repeats it four times. This TV also features dejudder processing accompanied with its Smooth settings. Toshiba grants the user to get anti-blurring effects of 240Hz without having to engage dejudder at all. Picture adjustments are massive on the SV670U series. The 55SV670U also features a total of six modes, five of which are adjustable picture modes and one is called the "Auto-View,"  [...]

Review Of The Toshiba Satellite U505-S2940

Laptops — September 1, 2009 at 7:30 am | 2 Comments
The U505 sports a 13.3-inch screen, resolution is 1280x800, a standard resolution for a laptop this size. The icons, videos and text were sharp and well-defined. Although Harman/Kardon speakers aren't included here, the bass-enhanced stereo speakers still pack quite a punch. The keyboard was the most disappointing of them all, with cramped and shaky buttons, Toshiba threw user-friendliness out the window. They did however; add back-lights to the keyboard. The touchpad also feels too small for the laptop design, whereas the touch-pad buttons are large and easy to access. In the multimedia and multitasking front , the Satellite U505-S2940 performed well, the 505-S2940 has a good selection of ports, ranging from HDMI-out and ExpressCard to the Toshiba hallmark sleep-and-charge USB/eSATA combo port, which can charge devices even when the laptop is asleep  [...]
